PAYROLL OFFICER

Job Purpose:

e are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to oversee and manage our payroll functions. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of payroll regulations and be able to handle confidential information with integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Process payroll transactions accurately and on time.
Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees.
Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions (taxes, benefits, etc.).
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
Address employee payroll-related inquiries and concerns.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

Proven work experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk, or similar role.
Hands-on experience with payroll software and accounting systems.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and requirements.
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Diploma in HR Management or any related field.
