HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Human Resource Officer to join our HR team. The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for providing support in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR administration. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of HR best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
Administer employee benefits programs and policies, and handle inquiries regarding benefits eligibility and coverage.
Support employee relations initiatives, including conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment.
Assist in performance management processes, including performance appraisals and goal setting.
Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Prepare HR reports and presentations for management as needed.
Stay updated on HR trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance.
Assist with other HR projects and tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
Proven work experience as an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or similar role.
Knowledge of HR functions and best practices, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
