Site Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our construction team. The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring that work is completed in accordance with design specifications, schedules, and safety standards. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers to develop construction plans, schedules, and budgets.
Interpret and review project drawings and technical specifications.
Ensure materials and equipment are procured and delivered according to project timelines.
Technical Oversight:

Monitor construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and safety standards.
Conduct quality control inspections and tests to verify workmanship and materials.
Address technical issues and provide timely solutions to unforeseen challenges.
Communication and Collaboration:

Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel.
Coordinate and schedule subcontractor activities and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to project management and stakeholders.
Health and Safety Compliance:

Promote and enforce health and safety protocols on-site in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.
Prepare and submit technical reports, change orders, and other project documentation as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and technical standards.
Proficiency in project management software and AutoCAD.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
