Social Media and Marketing Officer– Trainee

Qualifications & Competencies

Experience / Skills Required:
-Lives and breathes technology and internet, especially social networks – should be actively engaged on Twitter, Facebook and other social networks on a regular basis.
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of all social media platforms 
-Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects 
-Previous experience in digital marketing and social media activities
-Understanding and good knowledge the marketing fields
-Web savvy and enjoy keeping up with new content-sharing technologies online 
-Ability to work independently and take initiative 
-Strong creative writing and communications skills 
-Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a big plus
-Experience with leveraging social media management and analytics tools is a big plus

Roles and Responsibilities

We are looking for a social media marketing officer to promote our group’s activities and brands via various social marketing channels. This is a creative opportunity to own multiple marketing channels of a fast-paced and innovative International company operating in Mauritius.

The position offers direct hands-on training and experience in multiple areas of online marketing including social media marketing, content creation and partner relations.

Under the direction of the Managing Director and the Head of the IT Department, the Social Media and Marketing Officer is responsible for daily maintenance of social media sites, identifying new opportunities for use of social media, providing reporting on social media initiatives and monitoring social media campaign success.

Responsibilities include:
-Social marketing program management – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr.
-Content creation, blog editing and copy writing.
-Data collection and reporting
-Work with Company’s managing director to explore and identify ways to integrate social media into property strategies and marketing campaigns

-Plan and execute paid media strategy across social media platforms
Lead the creation, delivery and execution of digital and social campaigns
