Qualifications & Competencies
HSC holder with good results in Mathematics & Accounts (diploma in management would be an advantage)
Excellent knowledge in Excel is a prerequisite
Experience in import and freight preferred
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good planning and organisational skills
Result-driven and customer service oriented
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Roles and Responsibilities
To prepare and update stock & sales figures of all Store Keeping Units (SKU's)
To update accurately and to maintain all buying and selling prices
To request and follow up on quotations from both local and foreign suppliers through close coordination
To place and follow up on orders with suppliers on a timely basis
To advise and liaise with storekeepers on expected vessel and products arrival
To ensure all documents are received before vessel's expected time of Arrival (ETA)
To verify receipts of products and to liaise with the logistics team for any discrepancy
To apply for and ensure all necessary permits are obtained prior to importing
To prepare and follow up with Ministry of Commerce for price fixing of products
